We just came off a great experience at Velocity NY and our very first NYC-based meetup, but we’re always on the lookout for the best events around the city, and we’ve found a few more worth your time.
Here are two more NYC tech events you should check out over the next week.
Mixpanel NY Office Hours: Hubspot
The guest speaker for the evening is Dan Wolchonok, senior product manager at Hubspot. Dan has the rare experience of working at a company that went from zero weekly active users to more than 200,000.
In this talk, Dan will outline his team’s process for product development, which was both insight driven and data informed, of course. Would you expect anything less out of Hubspot?
Networking starts at 6 p.m., and Dan drops some knowledge at 7 p.m. The event is happening Thursday at Mixpanel’s New York office in Lower Manhattan.
Performance Without Limits 2.0 on IBM Cloud
It just wouldn’t be right if we went a few weeks without attending a web performance-focused meetup, and we couldn’t be more excited to attend “Performance Without Limits” by our friends at IBM.
This half-day event definitely takes the title for coolest venue of the month, as it’s held on the Intrepid Air, Sea and Space Museum. For those who don’t know, the Intrepid is an aircraft carrier-turned museum.
The longtime technology giant has been putting a lot of resources into the IBM Cloud and other great developer tools, such as its Bluemix platform, and this meetup is all about how the hybrid cloud can help companies achieve high performance.
The event is for IBM clients, partners and prospective partners, but because their cloud platform is so robust, pretty much all developers fall into one of those categories.
We’ll be at both events, so make sure to reach out to us on Twitter and say “hello” if you’d like to meet in person.
