 Automated results analysis makes it easier to interpret your load test results and speeds up the process of finding and fixing performance issues. Load Impact Insights Performance Alerts pinpoint performance issues in your system under test and highlight test script issues.

Learn about:

  • Smart Result Performance Alerts that alert you to performance issues in the system under test.
  • Test Health Performance Alerts that highlight test script issues
  • Checks and Thresholds for setting up pass/fails results for your load test

Performance Alert for  High HTTP Failure Rate:

Sample k6 JavaScript test code for a Check:

Use checks to evaluate if functional pass/fail conditions are met during test execution. In our example below, we evaluate if a status code of 200 is returned:

import { check } from "k6";
import http from "k6/http";

export default function() {
  let res = http.get("http://test.loadimpact.com/");
  check(res, {
    "is status 200": (r) => r.status === 200
  });
}

Sample k6 JavaScript test code for a Threshold:

In the next test script example we set a threshold that specifies that we accept a maximum 10% check failure rate before considering the test a failure:

import { Rate } from "k6/metrics";

export let errorRate = new Rate("errors");

export let options = {
    thresholds: {
        "errors": ["rate<0.1"],
   }
};

export default function() {
    let success = check(http.get("http://test.loadimpact.com"), {
        "status is 200": (r) => r.status == 200
    });
    if (!success) {
        errorRate.add(1);
    }
};
